Growing Up

I can't believe I am almost halfway done with high school. It seems like just yesterday I was walking through the high school for the first time. When I was younger my mom used to take me to the high school drama productions. I used to think this school was massive. I wanted to grow up just so I could go to the beautiful school. Now that I am a highschooler I wish I could turn back time. We just got our course selection sheets for our junior year. Times flies by.
I am excited for all the big changes that happen when you become an upper class men. You get more respect and freedom but I am also nervous for the stress of college. I am not sure what I want to be when I grow up but I hope I find something soon. I was thinking about being an optometrist or a physical therapist. All I know right now is that I want to be in the medical field. The future is one thing that absolutely terrifies me. Thinking about the change that is going to happen in the next 5 years makes me tremble with fear.  I am both happy to get on with my life, but I am really going to miss the days of just being a kid.

Freshman Year
The first day of my high school career is a blur to me. I'm not even sure if I was nervous or not. All I can remember is being extremely excited. New situations are an adventure to me. Before the first day of Freshman Year, I couldn't fall asleep. Now High school is just a boring average thing. I do not get excited for school anymore since I'm so used to it. I am now half way through my sophomore year and all I'm excited for is the first day of my Senior Year. Every grade in between is boring. There is nothing new to be excited for. Maybe one thing that people would get excited for during Sophomore year would be getting their license. But Junior year is just hard work. High school has a lot of ups and downs, pros and cons but in the end it is a great experience.
